We absolutely love to travel and shoot in new locations - whether it's north to Owen Sound, or across the ocean to India - we're always game and get a thrill out of exploring new areas with our clients to find the perfect photo opportunities. Amanda & John (check out their downtown engagement session here) planned an awesome day at the newly designed Cobble Beach on Georgian Bay and we had the pleasure of driving north to join them!

They were calling for severe thundershowers all day and I have to admit that Trev & I were feeling a little concerned as we hoped in the car under a darkened sky to start the trek north. But, all of our worries and concerns were short-lived and completely unnecessary as the weather turned out to be simply gorgeous- hot, sunny and with a few thick, stunning clouds to round out our backdrop. The coordinators and staff at Cobble Beach were such a pleasure to work with... friendly, accommodating and on top of all the little details.

The morning was calm and relaxed -- except for one little hiccup regarding a suit, but it all worked out in the end, and besides what would the day be without a little bit of a story to look back and laugh on? :) These two were surrounded by great friends and family who came together to ensure that things got back on track quickly and not a beat was missed!

After a picturesque ceremony and a few outdoor cocktails dinner was served under an elegant tent just as the sun was setting... it was stunning. The evening rounded out with some amazing speeches - Trevor and I were both in stitches along with the rest of the crowd. It's easy to see that this couple is well loved and surrounded by genuine friends. We really had a great time working with you both, and wish you all the best as you move forward together as husband & wife!

John had Amanda's engagement ring custom designed after one that she had seen and fallen in love with-how sweet is that?

We spotted this gem and had to add it to the post - there's nothing quite like a little candid 'fist-bump' action before the reception entrance:
