Kate & Ben | 04.09.10

Every once in a while there is a couple that just clicks with us instantly... not just through their style, but through their creative careers and laid back personalities. Kate & Ben were one such couple - from the moment our meeting began I knew we were a perfect fit. This pair brought along a hand full of their favourite photos from our website, along with some of their top picks by Magum Photographer Elliott Erwitt as inspiration. Erwitt happens to be the photographer that I wrote my University entrance essay on... well, needless to say, it was pretty much a sealed deal. :)

One of our favourite shots, taken in Kate's fathers' vintage truck just after the ceremony:

Planning their wedding from across the ocean in London, England might have proven difficult for some, but this pair just seemed to breeze through the process. They were relaxed and calm throughout the days leading up to the big event, and seemed to really enjoy the ride. Their day was quite stunning from beginning to end - from the textured walls & stained glass windows in Berkeley Church right down to the adorable vintage Tea Pot center pieces the entire day had a personal touch that just seemed inviting.

The morning kicked off with the ladies at Kate's parents house - pretty much a photographer's dream. An open concept home with tons of window light, a group of excited subjects and a stunning art collection including tons of fiber prints... let's just say I'd LOVE to have a collection like this one day! ;) The ladies (+ Kate's dad) had a great morning full of laughter and excitement, Kate's smile didn't even waver when the wind picked up and the rain came out to join us. No jitters for this bride! And, as it turned out, there was nothing to worry about after all as the day cleared up and we didn't see the rain again at all!

Ben & his crew were over at The Grand in the morning and then headed to Berkeley Church to ensure that everything was ready at the ceremony site. Ben's directorial instincts took over and everything came together perfectly. It was a beautiful ceremony, an area filled with family & friends, warm light pouring in through the stained glass windows and a lot of love.

The night went on to include some great speeches and lots of dancing as the live band was amazing and the party was unstoppable! Kate & Ben, it was such a pleasure being a part of your day, you are truly a lovely pair and we wish you nothing but the best in your future together!!!

I love love loved Kate's dress:

Sometimes you need a little help from your friends...

Kate was simply stunning:

The Bridal Party was great to work with - and looked amazing:

This colour palette is quite awesome:

Another shot with the Vintage Truck:

We even went back indoors for a few more shots to take advantage of the architecture & details, so pretty:

The programs were so cute we couldn't resist:

The speeches were amazing - everyone was in stitches:

It didn't take long for the dance floor to fill up:

Everyone was having a blast:

Let's end it on this note:
