Angela & Jeff | 02.10.10

It seems like we've known Angela for years... shes cute, bubbly and a completely genuine person. We met Angela early on in her planning process at the National Bridal show, and were introduced to Jeff a little later in the game. We knew that this pair was the perfect fit for us, and they were such a pleasure to work with at their downtown ceremony in October.

It was simply a lovely day from beginning to end - from the carefree, relaxed morning to their stunning church ceremony, to a classy reception at the Arcadian Court. These two didn't let anything bother them throughout the day, and truly seemed to be enjoying the ride... I just love it when this happens.

The ceremony was at the breathtaking Knox College on the University of Toronto Campus - a location that we love to work in. The antique woodwork and vaulted ceilings are the perfect setting for the marriage of two engineers. Afterward, we took advantage of the grounds for some family photos and then stepped back inside when the rain came for a visit to finish up our session indoors. Did this bother our newly-weds? Nope, not so much as a blink... it was awesome!

The Arcadian Court fit into Angela & Jeff's Art Deco theme perfectly, with a beautifully unique stair case and grand ballroom for the reception. Over all it was a seamless day, filled with lots of love, laughter and friends. Congratulations you two - it was a genuine pleasure to get to know you both and be a part of your day. We wish you nothing but all the happiness you deserve in your new life together!

Jeff & his guys got ready at The Marriott Downtown with Trevor:

...I just love this shot:

I was with the ladies at Angela's parent's house, where make-up was in full swing:

Angela's Maggie Sottero dress was simply stunning, with gorgeous details:

I love how even the car matches their colour scheme!:

...here comes the bride:

We love shooting at Knox College - it's so stunning.

I love how Angela is sneaking a peek here:

After some amazing vows, the first kiss as man & wife:

The little flower girl was simply adorable all day long:

After the family photos there was a bit of rain...so we entertained ourselves indoors, with the stunning architecture:

Then it was over to the Arcadian Court for a few more photo-opt's before the reception, we loved the art-deco staircase:

Guests enjoyed cocktails upstairs before dinner began:

The reception looked amazing. Can you believe this cake was made by a friend of theirs? It's simply amazing...and each tier represents a different era in the couple's life. The bottom is the Sarnia Bluewater Bridge, where Jeff is from, next is the Toronto Skyline, Angela's hometown, and then we have the San Francisco Bridge, where the couple lives now! I just love it when couple's find a way to really bring themselves into the day.

Home-made sugar cookies were placed at each table setting, and made the perfect ring accessory:

I had to do an alternate as well - Angela & Jeff went to school together for Engineering and have matching pinky rings:

How cute are these two for their first dance?

Everyone seemed to be having a great time:

...there's no better advice I can give a couple on their wedding day than to just take some time to take it all in. I think this pair had it down pat, visiting with guests and truly enjoying the day, congratulations again!
